Chapter 31 Emily's Birthday

• Tonight, Emily felt extremely lonely despite the old man's efforts to throw her a grand birthday party. She had expressed her desire to keep the celebration simple, but she was unaware that what rich people consider "simple" involves hosting it in a 7-star hotel with more than 100 guests.
• Earlier, she looked down through the glass window and saw Brian and his friends.
• Emily had only invited them to her birthday party, as they were the only people she knew well. Brian used to bring them to celebrate her birthdays, and he always believed that the more people, the merrier. Emily was accustomed to being around Brian's friends. However, aside from them and the Adams, everyone else was a stranger. It made her wonder if it was actually her birthday party or a business conference for the Adams Group of Companies.
