• Eva stared sharply at Jasper Kent. Cheyne escorted her into the CEO's room, where Gabriel had encountered some people. She looked unhappy to see Jasper now.
• "She is my secretary. Her name is Miss Evangeline Alexander." Gabriel introduced Eva with a flat expression. He anticipated every response, especially from Jasper.
