Chapter 31
- Gwen's POV
- In the void of obviousness, I felt like I was floating in a pit of murkiness. Time turned into a riddle, and my brain was caught in a terrible limbo, tortured by tormenting murmurs and twisted shapes that lingered in the shadows. However, even in that somber void, a weak hint of something better over the horizon persevered.
- The memory of my kids' faces, their chuckling, and their blameless euphoria gave me the solidarity to battle against the haziness that took steps to consume me. Step by step, as though rising up out of a profound sleep, I became mindful of a far off sound, similar to a delicate song slicing through the dimness. The frightful giggling had stopped, supplanted by a calming tune that folded over me like a warm hug.
