Chapter 27 I won't hurt you
- Griffin has been upset ever since Mercedes left. He hasn't been able to contain his anger, even when he was with Penelope. He couldn't imagine Mercedes gracing a man's bed for a whole week. The mere thought put his brain to third gear.
- He hit the wall several times, his knuckles hurt. He was happy Penelope had left to attend to some family matters so he wouldn't be disturbed. He was worried about Mercedes for the fact that he couldn't reach her. Angie was least anxious and had made breakfast, thereby taking it to Griffin's room, which was now cleaned and looked inviting.
- "I'm not hungry Angie," Griffin said as soon as the door pushed open, as he moved from the wall, laying on his bed facing the wall that had a picture of him and Mercedes surfing. Posted on his walls were cut out pictures of his role models, pictures of his family, Angie and Penelope but the most dominant were that of him and Mercedes together. The appearance of the room looked like that of a teenager. This was the first time he's been far from Mercedes in years and despite Angie's company, he felt lonely and missed his best friend.
