Chapter 24 Like what you see?

• The early morning sun rays glared through the white curtains draped around the windows. Mercedes woke up on a different texture of bed than she was used to.
• Soft, silky and white lining soothed her body, making her want to continue her sweet adventure of sleep. The room was five times larger than her small apartment in New York. Her body felt refreshed but ached slightly. She recalled everything that happened since she flew with Nathan yesterday. One thing remained in her mind, her mother's smile which she hadn't seen since her brother was admitted. 
• Even her brother tried to smile in his condition. She owed him her brother's life and her family's happiness. She also recalled the sunset and wished she had taken pictures but since Nathan had warned her against calls, she had long switched off her phone to stop the temptation of disobeying him.
