Chapter 7 ) The Welcome Party Celebration

• Many hours passed, and it was the next day, and also evening time.
• Vivianne had already taken her bath and was now in the process of wearing the black gown she chose from her wardrobe.
• Before Vivianne wore the black gown which was on the bed, she went and stood in front of her wall mirror, and was drying her wet hair with the hair dryer which she was holding in her hand.
• It took a while, but Vivianne's hair finally dried. And at the same minute, she went and took the black gown from her bed.
• “How gorgeous and stylish you are”. Vivianne complimented the gown, and was also busy admiring it. Anyway, she later wore the black gown and returned to the wall mirror– to check herself out.
• Staring at the image which was reflected in the mirror, Vivianne was indeed satisfied, because the black long-gown fitted her perfectly. And even though the gown was black, it was shining bright like the night stars– because of the diamonds it was designed with.
• Vivianne also styled her hair later on.
• “It's show time”. Vivianne muttered with satisfaction, as she wore her black shoes and took out her red purse. Later on, she left her bedroom and went downstairs to the living room.
• Upon arriving in the living room, Vivianne saw her big brothers. They were wearing black tuxedos, and the styles of their hair looked pretty identical. Not only that, one could even mistake Barrett for Garrett, and Garrett for Barrett, because of their identical appearance.
• “Wow. Our little sister is so beautiful, even more than a princess! I almost want to hide her from everyone”. As soon as Garrett saw Vivianne, he teased her, even though what he said was actually true.
• Barrett approached Vivianne and was standing in front of her when he complimented her, “You're so beautiful, little sister. You look just like our mother”.
• “I look like our Mother? Wow. Big brother Barrett, do you remember much about our mom? Although I clearly remembered her face, I still feel like I'm missing a lot of memories”. Vivianne admitted, before her face saddened with tears, and she added, “You and Garrett recalled all your memories of our families. But, what about me? What's wrong with me? Even after all the help from the doctors, my memories refused to come back to me”.
• Seeing the sad look on Vivianne's face, Barrett placed his large hands on her shoulders and was smiling at her with encouraging eyes. “Little sister, it's alright. Just give your memories some time. I believe it'll come back to you when the time is right”. Barrett assured her.
• “Yeah, Barrett is totally right, little sis”. Garrett supported Barrett.
• After listening to her big brothers’ words of encouragement, Vivianne wiped the tears from her eyes and even smiled with courage.
• “That's the spirit, little sis. Now, let's get going. There's someone important I might introduce to you at your welcoming party”. Barrett suddenly announced, causing Vivianne to be super curious.
• “Who's the person? A female or a male?”. Vivianne questioned out of excitement.
• “Actually, people know them as the Harrington family. And for your understanding, Garrett and I are not personally acquainted with them. It's just that, our late grandpa and their late grandpa were once tight friends”. Barrett explained before he added, “To be fair, I was even surprised when they easily accepted my invitation to them”.
• “Huh? You were surprised just because they accepted your invitation?”. Vivianne didn't understand Barrett's point, so she asked.
• “In case you're not aware, the Harrington family are pretty aloof and always turn down people's invitations to them. Anyway, you'll meet them pretty soon”. Barrett concluded, before he held Vivianne's hand and assisted her outside with him. Even Garrett, who was behind, followed them outside.
• On the way, Vivianne was busy wondering to herself, ‘The Harrington family? Who are they? And why am I strangely feeling wary of them?’.
• Speaking of which,
• After Barrett, Vivianne and Garrett arrived outside, they went ahead and entered the black Mercedes benz. And since Garrett decided to stay in the driver's seat, he was the one who drove the car.
• It was a 25-minute drive, and they arrived at their destination.
• Garrett parked the car inside the hotel’s parking lot, after which they all got out of the car.
• “Let's go”. Garrett announced, as he led the way to the welcome-party floor.
• As soon as they arrived inside the hotel's first floor, there were lots of reporters who were busy waiting for their arrival.
• Garrett and Barrett even had to shield their little sister from the reporters’ cameras, before the security guards eventually arrived at the scene and blocked all the reporter’s paths.
• “Gosh, there are so many reporters today”. Garrett admitted, as he continued to shield Vivianne from the side.
• “Yeah, Garrett. I guess they learnt about our little sister's arrival, and were curious to finally see her appearance, that's why they all came”. Barrett explained, before he added, “Let's hurry to the elevator”.
• Garrett and Vivianne nodded their heads at Barrett, before they rushed with him to the elevator and entered it. And after they got into the elevator, Barrett pressed the 11th floor button.
• It took less than 5 minutes, and the elevator stopped at the 11th floor of the building.
• After quickly staring at each other, Garrett, Vivianne and Barrett all came down from the elevator, as they continued their journey to the welcoming party floor.
• Exactly 4 minutes later, they once more arrived at their destination.
• ‘Oh my!’. As soon as Vivianne arrived in the hotel's banquet hall, her mind almost exploded because of what her eyes were seeing!. Honestly, the arrangement was so grand and luxurious!
• “Little sis, are you satisfied with the decorations and settings?”. Garrett noticed the surprised look on Vivianne's face, so that was the reason he asked her.
• “Yeah”. Vivianne quickly replied with a low voice. Actually, her voice was low because she was afraid of getting over-excited.
• “We're glad that you like the arrangements, little sister”. Barrett sighed in relief as he admitted.
• Since Vivianne arrived early, and since she was the main hostess of the party, she began making sure that things were in order, before the invited guests would come.
• In less than 10 minutes, almost all the invited guests arrived at the banquet hall.
• Most of the guests presented some gifts to Vivianne, before they went ahead to enjoy the party celebration with their fellow high-class people.
• The welcoming party was going pretty smoothly and successful. In fact, with this rare opportunity, most of the CEOs and Chairmans took their chances, and were discussing business talk with Vivianne and the twins.
• Suddenly, the banquet hall became less noisy as the Harrington family walked in and made their presence known.
• Lucy Harrington was with her husband, Victor Harrington. While Brianna was with her son, Harry Harrington. Actually, Kendrick didn't come with them, because he wasn't interested in coming.
• The moment Brianna's blue eyes landed on Vivianne's figure, she gasped in total disbelief. And in a quick flash, she recalled all the memories of how she mistreated Vivianne in the past.
• Barrett and Garrett stopped their discussion and went to Vivianne. They took her with them, to meet the Harrington family.
• “Little sis, these are the Harrington family I told you about earlier. Our grandpa and their grandpa were close friends, before those tragic incidents happened to our family”. Barrett explained to Vivianne, as he introduced her to Victor, Lucy and Brianna.
• Victor and Lucy, including Brianna, were so stunned and speechless after seeing Vivianne. In fact, they were even more surprised after listening to what Barrett had said to her. Now they knew that their hunch was right!. To be fair, after they received the invitation letter, under the Beckham’s family surname, they suspected that something fishy was going on. That was why they quickly accepted the invitation, in order for them to check things out themselves.
• “Wait, you're the twins our grandpa Harrington once talked about? But wait, I thought you two died together with your family?!”. Lucy couldn't control herself and said.
• “My twin brother and I didn't die, Lady Lucy. We actually survived. Same with our little sister, Vivianne”. Barrett explained, before he brought Vivianne forward.
• ‘What's this? Why am I experiencing a strange feeling of resentment towards the Harrington family? But this should be the first time I'm meeting with them, right? Or not’. Vivianne thought to herself, and was staring at Lucy, Victor, and especially Brianna, with cold eyes.
• “Vivianne, long time no see. It has been 5 years since you left Kendrick's mansion. Ever since then, we haven't seen each other again. I bet you must have been thrilled after you found out that your twin brothers were alive”. Brianna said all of a sudden, surprising Vivianne.
• “We last saw each other five years ago? But I don't even know you”. Vivianne's hands were wrapped on her chest, as she furrowed her eyebrows at Brianna and announced.
