Chapter 5 ) Family Lunch And Discussion

• Vivianne entered the mansion with her big brothers. Upon arriving in the living room, she was amazed because of how the place was beautifully decorated.
• The size of the living room was grand. Not only that, five sofas, including a swing sofa, were arranged accordingly in the living room.
• Vivianne was so excited because of the living room, that she ended up planning to take a tour of the mansion later on.
• Barrett, who was ahead, coincidentally turned behind and saw the way Vivianne's pair of brown eyes were sparkling with delight. He stopped walking and even confronted Vivianne, before he said to her, “You're already loving the mansion?”.
• “Uh-huh. And after lunch, I'll definitely take a tour of the mansion”. Vivianne admitted without a slight hesitation.
• “Alright, little sis. Enjoy your day today. Because after tomorrow, you might actually become really busy with work”. Barrett announced, surprising Vivianne because she didn't quite understand his point.
• Garrett saw the misunderstood look on Vivianne's face, so he went to her and held her shoulders with his large hands. His brown eyes were staring at Vivianne's brown eyes as he started explaining, “What Barrett meant, is actually easy, little sis. Since you're now the chairman of Z-company, you'll have to go to work almost everyday and manage stuff as the head. But before that, Barrett and I are going to host a welcoming party for you at one of our grandest hotels, by tomorrow evening”. “We've already invited many high status people, who'd come to witness your celebration, little sis”. Garrett added with a smile.
• “Wow. I- I really don't know what to say, big brothers”. Vivianne admitted as she forced herself not to be emotional.
• “No need to say much, little sis. As your big brothers, it's our responsibility to take total care of you”. Barrett put his hands inside his trouser’s pockets as he announced.
• Meanwhile, Vivianne simply smiled and nodded her head, after listening to everything Barrett and Garrett had said to her.
• ‘Growl’
• Vivianne's stomach suddenly growled in hunger, causing both Barrett and Garrett to chuckle.
• “Stop laughing. It was just my stomach”. Vivianne said almost immediately, since she actually thought that Barrett and Garrett were laughing at her because she farted.
• “We know that it was just your stomach, little sis. Come on, let's go fill your hungry stomach with food”. Barrett slightly shook his head as he said. Soon, he held Vivianne's hand and took her to the kitchen with him.
• Garrett also followed after them.
• Upon arriving inside the kitchen, Barrett, Garrett, and Vivianne, met Kelly Anderson, who was the mansion's new helper and head chef.
• “She is….?”. Vivianne was staring at her big brothers as she inquired about Kelly Anderson. Sincerely speaking, this was Vivianne's first meeting with Kelly.
• “Oh”. Barrett exclaimed with a low voice after he understood Vivianne's intention. Anyway, with his hand, he gestured to Kelly to come forward.
• Kelly stopped what she was doing and, indeed, came forward. Now, she was standing just a few feet away from Vivianne.
• Barrett introduced Kelly Anderson to his little sister, by saying, “She's Kelly Anderson, little sis. She doesn't talk much because she's not good at speaking English. Actually, she's an 18-year-old orphan Garrett and I took in about a few weeks ago”.
• Vivianne's eyes widened as soon as she heard what Barrett said about Kelly. “An- an orphan? Just like us, right?”. Vivianne purposely said this, because this was her way of encouraging and consoling Kelly.
• “Yeah, she's an orphan, just like us”. Barrett announced loudly because he clearly understood his little sister's good intention. Anyway, he soon added, “It was exactly 10 pm in the night, when Garrett and I were returning home from our company. Suddenly, Kelly appeared out of nowhere and stood in the middle of the road. Thankfully, our car didn't hit her”.
• “In the middle of the road?”. Vivianne said in disbelief before she focused her attention on Kelly, and asked her with a worried voice, “Why were you standing in the middle of the road, Kelly? Were you planning to end your life? No matter how difficult life is, killing yourself is never the solution or an option!”.
• After hearing what Vivianne said to her, Kelly Anderson began to wave her hands repeatedly. It didn't take long and she tried to explain, “I, not plan to end my life. Bad guys, chase me. Wanted to rape me. I saw a car. I stood in the road. And, twins save me”.
• “Oh, you mean, you were not trying to end your life? Instead, you were being chased by bad men who wanted to rape you? So, you ran and stood in the middle of the road after you saw a car coming. Luckily, the car stopped and didn't hit you. Also, the car belonged to my twin brothers, who eventually saved you later on. Is this what you're trying to say, Kelly?”. Vivianne asked with a calm voice.
• “Yes”. Kelly replied, and her emerald eyes sparkled, because she was happy that Vivianne understood what she meant.
• “Gosh. People are horrible! How dare they try to hurt a defenceless young lady?! They couldn't help Kelly's situation, instead they wanted to cause her harm! Despicable and inhuman!”. Vivianne announced with a cold voice because she was strangely so angry.
• Even Barrett and Garrett had to look at their little sister in disbelief, because they had never seen her this angry before.
• “I-I’m okay. I didn't get injured. Because twins saved me”. Kelly quickly explained, as she tried to calm Vivianne's temper.
• Vivianne sighed deeply as she tried to compose her emotions. In fact, she paced back and forth for a while before she later calmed down.
• “It's alright, Kelly. My brothers and I are going to take care of you. And if anyone dares to hurt you, we'd definitely deal with them for you!”. Vivianne declared, before she started staring at the kitchen with fierce eyes.
• Garrett leaned close to Barrett and whispered to him, “What's wrong with our little sis? Why is she acting so paranoid and hurt? She's behaving as if she went through almost the same pain”.
• Barrett slightly shook his head and sighed deeply, before he replied to his younger twin, “Even though our little sis lost most of her memories, I guess the painful emotions she experienced in the past, still stayed behind”. After saying this, Barrett furrowed his eyebrows and his eyes darkened as he declared, “I'll definitely hunt down the armed men who killed our family. And I'll also hunt down the ones who might have hurt our little sis in the past, when we haven't found her. After hunting all of them, I'll return the same pain to them!”.
• More than an hour later,
• Kelly finally finished preparing lunch for the whole family. Not only that, she had also arranged the food she prepared, on the dining table.
• Vivianne was in her new bedroom, which she technically arrived in an hour ago.
• To be honest, Vivianne also loved her new bedroom. It was designed according to her preferences and taste! Plus, her new bed was not only huge and tall in size, but it was also fluffy and decorated in her favourite colour, blue.
• “Ha. Phoenix city. Home sweet home”. Vivianne came out from her bathroom while saying to herself. She had already taken her bath and wore a casual outfit– A blue shirt and baggy-loose black pants.
• In the same minute, Vivianne went to her bed and threw herself on it. “Woah. This bed is so soft!”. She exclaimed before her stomach continued to be annoyed at her.
• “I'm hungry. When is food going to be ....”. Vivianne couldn't finish talking because she was distracted by the knock on the door. “Who is it?”. She asked.
• “Kelly. Lunch, ready”.
• “Alright, Kelly. I'll be out in a minute”. Vivianne announced and rose up from her bed afterward. ‘Finally, food is ready’. Vivianne was feeling excited as she thought to herself.
• Kelly had already left Vivianne's bedroom corridor.
• It didn't pass a minute and Vivianne came out of her room and went straight to the dining room.
• Upon arriving in the dining room, Vivianne saw that Barrett and Garrett were already seated and were waiting for her. Without wasting time, Vivianne took her seat beside Garrett.
• “Let's pray and eat”. Barrett suddenly announced.
• After praying over all the food, Barrett and Garrett began to eat. But when they noticed that Vivianne wasn't eating, they stopped eating.
• “What's wrong, little sister? Why aren't you eating? Is the food not to your taste? But Kelly is a great cook though”. Garrett said.
• “No, it's not like that, big brother Garrett. Actually, I want Kelly to join us in the dining room whenever we're eating. To be honest, what Kelly has gone through, I feel like I've gone through something similar in the past”. After explaining this, Vivianne added, “So, I want to treat Kelly well and make up for my past self. Is that alright with you, big brothers?”.
• “Of course, little sis”. Both Barrett and Garrett replied without hesitation, causing Vivianne to be happy.
• “Thanks a lot, big brother Barrett and Garrett”. Vivianne greeted them from the depths of her heart.
• “Don't stress it, little sis. Also, you don't have to request permission from Barrett and I. After all, you're the lady of our mansion, and your words are equal to ours”. Garrett announced, and since Vivianne was sitting next to him, he reached over and gently pinched her soft cheeks.
• Vivianne nodded at Garrett after what he said to her. At the same minute, she called with a loud voice, “Kelly! Come and join your family for lunch!”.
