Chapter 4

• "Oh my, Kieran, Astrid is just joking. See, we brought a doctor to test her." Gianna rushed forward, pushing the physician towards Astrid.
• "Come down here and check your status." Kieran's voice was cold and Joey didn't know when her legs moved themselves. She realized everyone in the room feared him, including her father.
• Why wouldn't they?
• This was the Lycan Lord Kieran! The name that put everyone in trembles and she was supposed to be this evil guy's Luna. How............ fantastic!! Alpha Shane would definitely tremble under the name of The Lycan Lord and she as his Luna would have so much power.
• "I'm not pregnant." She immediately declared, clearing her throat.
• Jacqueline chuckled silently watching Astrid's drama. But when Kieran gave her a glance, she immediately went mute.
• "You stabbed yourself, you failed. You jumped into the pool to die, you failed. And then your last resort was pregnancy for Shane, a lowly Alpha?" Kieran raised a brow.
• A lowly Alpha? If Shane was a lowly Alpha, what would she be? A tiny invisible omega? By the way, what was Astrid's wolf like? An omega, gamma or a female alpha wolf?
• "Did you want to die so bad instead of getting married to me?"
• "Yes." Joey's reply was sharp and Kieran furrowed his brows at her reply. This lady was saying Yes? How bold!
• "But that was before. This time around, I would love for nothing than to be your Luna." She smirked.
• "You changed your mind? I see." Kieran didn't look convinced. This was a girl who had adamantly refused to marry her. Even when she signed the pact, she was in tears and now she easily changed her mind? It was totally unbelievable.
• "When I was asleep, in-between life and death.." Joey started, making her face look very serious, "I found myself drowning, about to die. Then I saw you." She ended.
• Kieran's brow shot up in disbelieve, "You saw me?" He smirked and took a step, closing the gap in between them. Astrid's legs melted, a vibrating sensation washing down her system but her head stood high, refusing to cower under his demeanor.
• "Yes." It was a lie. She had not seen him. All she had seen was Shane, all she had heard was the sound of her unborn child crying, all she knew now was vengeance and she was getting to get it, even if that meant playing with Lord Kieran.
• Kieran stared at her for a very long time before his lips suddenly widened into a smile and he chuckled, "You'll still have the test anyway." He said and turned to the physician, "Test her."
• After what felt like long drawing hours, her results were finally negative. Just as she thought. She walked downstairs with the physician walking behind her.
• "What's the result?" Kieran's voice was heard and Astrid almost rolled her eyes. It was obvious this family had nothing to do with Alpha Shane, so why would they even believe her? Unless the real Astrid had someone she was with. She pursed her lips tightly, praying that would not happen.
• "It's negative, my lord." The physician said, he was shaking slightly as he stared at Kieran.
• "That's good." Kieran gave her a glance before getting up from the chair he had sat on earlier, "Then prepare for the wedding. It'll be done earlier, by three pm tomorrow."
• "Tomorrow?" Her eyes widened, she couldn't believe her eyes. What was the rush for? She needed time to plan her revenge. She opened her mouth when,
• "That's such a nice date. The fifteenth of the month. A very nice date to become families." Keith interrupted, hitting his sweaty palms together.
• Astrid shot him an irritated look before staring back at Kieran, it seemed they had already decided and she didn't have a say in this. She glanced at Jacqueline and a contented look was on her face.
• Kieran gave her a list look before walking out of the house.
• "You this girl!" Gianna rushed towards her, hitting her hardly on the shoulder, "Do you want us all to get killed?" She shot.
• Astrid winced as she sniffed slightly, the pian hitting her hard. She gave Gianna an outrageous look, "So it's fine if I die myself?" She shot and Gianna scoffed.
• "You are not going to die if you act fine." She said.
• "If that's what you think, why can't Jacqueline get married to him then?" Astrid fired and Gianna went mute.
• "So you can't save your junior sister's life?" Keith stepped forward.
• "If it ain't mutual, then I can't. I'm only doing this because I wish to and not because you told me to or... because I'm saving anyone's life." With that, she walked out of the house angrily.
• But the anger dissipated immediately she saw the house.
• "Oh my God." How rich was Astrid's parents? This was so...so beautiful. Then how come they were so afraid of Kieran? She bit her lips, breathing heavily.
• The gate suddenly opened and a black Benz rode in speedily. It parked roughly and a man rushed out of it. Before she could say a word, he enveloped her in his hands, hugging her tightly.
• "Astrid, I'm so sorry I'm late. Are you fine?" He asked hurriedly and Joey blinked, pushing him away from her.
• "What are you doing?" She shot and he blinked.
• "It's me, it's Princeton." He hit his head lightly, trying to sink in his point. Joey stared at him in shock for a long time until the door opened and Jacqueline rushed out. Her eyes brightened up when she saw him and she jumped into his hands.
• Princeton gave her a bothered look before wrapping his hands around Jacqueline, hugging her back, however he kept on staring at Astrid.
• What was going on here? Joey blinked. What exactly was going on in Astrid's life?
• "Before you start saying stupid things like being Joey Simmons and not recognizing Princeton, he's Kieran's brother and my mate." Jacqueline said.
• "Ooh, nice." She nodded indifferently and made to move when Jacqueline blocked her.
• "What do you want this time around?" She raised her brows.
• "Don't you have anything to say?" Jacqueline asked and she pursed her lips. Though she doesn't remember Astrid's memories, she couldn't let anyone know that. It would be reckless.
• "Well, this is not news, is it? You've been dating for some time, isn't it?" She asked and Jacqueline squinted, nodding.
• "I thought you forgot." She muttered.
• "Anyway, tell your....mate to keep his hands off me." Joey smirked and Jacqueline gave Kieran an angry glance which left her satisfied.
• "Are you sure you are fine, Astrid?" Princeton came forward and immediately, Joey felt irritated. Was he trying to hit on her, especially when he's dating Jacqueline? Or...
• "You don't remember that you and Princeton broke up few days before signing the pact, do you?" Jacqueline got her at that moment and she blinked.
• Astrid and Princeton were dating?
• "What?" She mouthed in shock.
• "But don't worry, Astrid. Princeton had gotten over you, so you don't think he's still in love with you." Jacqueline said cockily and Astrid pursed her lips.
• "Well, I'm also not in love with him." She shrugged and a look of betrayal passed through Princeton's face.
• Astrid blinked, sighing deeply. She couldn't keep oj loving Princeton and she was sorry to break his heart, but unfortunately the owner of this body had changed and she was now the new boss. And if he wanted, he might as well stick to Jacqueline. She couldn't date two brothers, especially when the first one, Kieran, was danger itself.
• She turned to leave but Princeton's hand touched her shoulder, "I just wanted to let you know. The whole clan would be there tomorrow." He said slowly.
• "It's a marriage. Of course, they would be there." Astrid replied.
• "No, Astrid, you don't understand. Tomorrow you are going to apologize for trying to kill yourself and also, you are not going to become the Luna."
• "What?" She turned around at that sentence, "What do you mean I'm not going to become the Luna?"
• "You are going to become Kieran's third mistress."
