Chapter 19

• Astrid rushed out of the garden, her heels as high as they could in a sprint.
• "Where's Max? Where's Kieran?" She rumbled out the words, not knowing who to meet first.
• "Lord Kieran is in a me-" She didn't let the man complete his words before she walked past him and flung the doors open. The hall went quiet and she strode in, her strides fast as she went towards him at the top of the table, where he was standing. He stood, his arms going to his back as she stepped closer, only an inch between them.
