Chapter 54 Blown to Bits
- Benjamin turned around before storming off, and Melanie frowned as she couldn't release herself from his grip. All she could do was give Nicholas a slight nod. Similarly, Nicholas gave her a nod before turning around and walking off. As they made their way to the car, there seemed to be a dark cloud hanging above Benjamin's head. Melanie tilted her head to glance at him for a while, but she didn't ask him anything as she felt like it was none of her business. The old her would've tried to understand everything about him, but things were different now.
- "I'll send you back—"
- "Previously, Nicholas' mother begged me to help her. She wanted me to make sure that Nicholas came home safe. When my flight landed, he was already severely injured, and even then, he didn't want to come with me. I could only hold the flight back for 30 minutes, and I'd have to be responsible for any accidents if the flight was delayed any longer. I had no other choice but to get someone to inject him with a tranquilizer…" Benjamin explained.
