Chapter 16

• A few weeks after their special date, Ava woke up feeling unwell. She had a fever and her whole body ached. She knew immediately that she was sick and wouldn't be able to go to work that day.
• She tried to push through the illness, thinking it would pass quickly, but her fever only got worse. She decided to call in sick and stayed in bed all day, trying to rest and recover.
• Ava spent the day in bed, resting and trying to recover. She drank fluids and took medication, but her fever didn't seem to be going down. She felt weak and helpless and knew that she needed to see a doctor.
