Chapter 156 Book 4: Twenty One

  • Gary stopped the car in front of an abandoned warehouse. He stared at it and glanced back at the man sitting in the backseat that has been staring at his phone since he got into the car. “Are you really sure we shouldn’t have come with the police.”
  • Michael heaved a sigh, his gaze not leaving the family photo that was his home wallpaper. It was taken in the zoo, the first time he was able to join them. Sapphire was holding a really big cotton candy and grinning. Christopher as always preferred not to take anything and just stood beside his mother with a soft smile. Sasha was grinning like Sapphire, she too was holding a cotton candy, while he, he just had his arm around her shoulder and his other hand placed on Sapphire’s shoulder to keep her from running away and his eyes were on Sasha as he was wearing a soft smile like his son.
  • This was his home, a home he had always dreamed of but never actually thought he could get it but then just like a Christmas miracle, everything fell into place and he was blessed with such a lovely home. It hurts so badly when he thinks he has ruined the home. The home he has so much wished for, he hasn’t seen Sapphire for two days now and he didn’t see Chris last night neither this morning. He had ordered Hannah to come home and watch him yesterday and he left really early this morning before he could wake up. And then his wife, he hasn’t seen her for two long weeks, he knew she was not fine and it hurts him whenever he remembers that he pushed her to leave home that night.
