Chapter 7

• The day for the party came. Emerald sat in front of her dressing mirror, styling her hair. Williams had sent her a diamond jewelry set earlier that day, she looked at the jewelry and sighed. She planned to wear a red silk dress and silver colored heels to match her jewelry.She got dressed and stood in front of a full length mirror feeling absolutely confident in her looks. Meanwhile a car and a chauffeur was waiting outside for her.

• The party was booming with people from all walks of life, men with power, big CEO’s and beautiful heiress’s.
• Williams arrived at the venue but didn’t go in, he decided to wait for Emerald since she hadn’t arrived yet.
• “ boss I think we should go in”. Zach said
• “Without my fiancé?” Williams raised his brows at him.
• “Sorry sir”. Zach bowed his head Just then, the car
• Williams sent to pick up Emerald arrived.
• The chauffeur came out to open the door for her. Emerald came down, looking stunning as ever.
• Williams couldn’t avert his gaze. She looked so beautiful and elegant.She walked up to him and looked him in the eyes. Williams swallowed, his Adam’s apple moved up and down.
• Emerald couldn’t take her eyes off his face, he looked so gorgeous and handsome, his jawline was sharper than ever tonight, his well defined facial structure and his perfume smelled so intoxicating.
• Emerald was finding it hard to fight the butterflies in her stomach.
• Williams stretched his hands towards her asked “shall we?”
• Emerald put her hand on his and he squeezed her hands gently.They walked in together looking like a power couple. As they entered into the party, heads turned, all eyes were on them. There were side talks everywhere.
• “ who’s that girl with Mr Williams ?”
• “Is she his girlfriend?”
• “She’s beautiful”.
• “ which family is she from?”
• They were all whispering.
• Emerald felt quite uncomfortable as she wasn’t used to such attentions.
• Capri stood in a corner fuming with anger. Her plans had failed, she didn’t think mr Williams would bring her sister to his childhood friend’s birthday party. She angrily stormed out of the party, hitting anybody in her way.
• ”Mr Williams, such a beautiful lady you have with you”.
• A man walked up to them, extending his hand for a hand shake
• “ Mr Raymond, you don’t look bad yourself”
• Williams smiled as he gave the man a handshake
• “You never bring dates to parties, what happened this time around?” Raymond asked Williams.
• Williams looked at him and replied in a rather proud way “she’s my fiancé “
• “Fiancé ?, wow Mr Williams, you have eyes for good stuff” the man winked and laughed “ I will be waiting for your wedding invitation” he said, still laughing as he walked away.

• The hour has come for the celebrant to step out. The Mc announced her arrival, cameras flashed as she came out.
• She looked so beautiful like a literal goddess. She stood there waving and smiling as the camera’s flashed.
• It was time to open the dance floor.
• Hyeri the celebrant danced with her dad, then others joined with their plus ones .
• Williams held Emerald firm as he led her to the dance floor. She put her hands on his shoulders while he held her waist. Emerald felt a cold rush in her spine as Williams big hands grabbed her waist.
• They danced for a while, no eye contacts, they didn’t speak a word to each other the whole night.
• After the dancing stopped, emerald was feeling thirsty so she took a drink from one of the waiters. Suddenly she heard a voice behind them.
• “Oppa”They both turned and saw Hyeri.
• Hyeri who was all bubbly walked up to them smiling. “Oppa, I didn’t know you’d come” Hyeri said
• “You didn’t know I would come?” Williams asked with a raised brow.
• “I mean… you’re always so busy so….” She said, shrugging her shoulders.
• Emerald just stared. She has never seen a girl as beautiful as this. Her skin looked so flawless and her hair so silky. She looked like a living animation.
• Hyeri turned to Emerald, she hasn’t seen this face before.
• “Hyeri meet my fiancé “ Williams introduced.
• “Ohhh” Hyeri said in a surprised manner
• “Nice to meet you” she smiled and stretched her hands for a handshake
• “Nice to meet you too” Emerald smiled back.
• “Williams can be a jerk sometimes but just take it easy on him, he’s just a soft boy trying to play hard”. Hyeri winked at emerald and laughed .
• Emerald smiled ‘ she’s actually friendly for a big heiress’. Emerald thought to herself.
• “How about we hang out sometime, we can get to know each other. Let me test my sister in law’s fun level” Hyeri giggled jokingly
• “Sister in law…?” Emerald said shyly
• “Yes, sister in law. Williams is like a brother to me, we literally grew up together”. Hyeri answered with warmth .
• “Hyeri don’t even start, you aren’t taking my wife anywhere. You’re not testing any fun levels” Williams interrupted
• ‘Did he just call me his wife?’ The butterflies Emerald has been trying to suppress came alive in her belly again. She blushed
• “Chill bro . Okay how about we go for brunch. Do I have your permission sir??” Hyeri said playfully
• Williams just looked away without responding.

• The party was finally over and Emerald was finally home. She had freshen up and was sitting in front of her mirror when a memory suddenly flashed
• “You aren’t taking my wife anywhere”
• Emerald covered her face and gave a little scream. She fell on her bed and exhaled. She was smiling uncontrollably,
• “is this how it is to be married?” . She got up and continued brushing her hair. Then she remembered how he grabbed her waist while they were dancing. She blushed hard.
• “This isn’t so bad, I’m not some weak girl after all. If I couldn’t make him call off the wedding, I’ll make him fall for me” she said to herself.
• But why does she feel like she has met Williams before, even before her accident. She shrugged off the feeling and continued brushing her hair.
• “ what is happening to me ??Am i falling for him?”
