• I rush down the hallway of the hospital as I look for my father's hospital room. I have always feared this day would come and I'm not prepared for this. My heart beats hard and fast against my chest as I stop outside his ward. His illness got serious a few weeks after my college graduation.
• I bite my bottom lip as I push open the door and enter inside his ward. I shut the door and that snaps my mom from her thoughts. She stands on her feet at once.
