Chapter 3

  • As they walked back to the dance floor, June’s legs shook in weakness. She missed the feeling of him being inside her but needed to sit down before any dancing g would continue
  • “Can we sit for a bit?” She asks, watching her nod in response
  • Their hands still intertwined as he led her towards the bar, shielding her from people who were walking past. He was a gentleman, June thought as she noticed his every action.
  • “Here,” he says, pulling out a seat for her before taking one close to her
  • “Thank you. Now, about your name?” June finally asks
  • She had been curious since she pulled him towards the dance floor. She enjoyed the idea of dancing with a total stranger, but now she was curious, she needed a name to the face
  • “Tae”
  • “Tae?”
  • “Yes, Tae. Don’t I look like a Tae?” he asks her with a smile and raised brow
  • “Well…” she paused, squinting as she analyzed it properly
  • She liked what she saw, she liked his dark blue shirt that hugged his body, but she didn’t understand how he still wore the leather jacket with all the heat in the room. She could see he had a little dark spot on his neck, like an extension of a tattoo that probably ran through his chest or shoulders. Aside from his scent that June had buried in her memory, his physique was a sight to behold. She wondered what he’d look like during the daytime, in a serene environment
  • “Like what you see?” Tae asks, bringing her out of her thoughts
  • “Yes, very much. I do” June replies
  • “That mouth” Tae chuckles
  • It was her confidence that made him want to keep talking to her, she wouldn’t hide her thoughts and would say it out without a second thought. He wondered what more her mouth could do aside to give her thoughts a voice.
  • “I’m beginning to think you like my mouth more than you like my dance moves”
  • “Can’t I like more than one thing about you?”
  • “Well, you can. What else do you like?”
  • “A lot of things actually”
  • “I’m listening,” June says, her voice low and flirty as she comes closer to him, her face almost close to his as he smiles at him, anticipating what she has to say
  • “How about I tell you one thing every day”
  • “Confident of you to think you’d see me again after today”
  • “Guess you’re rubbing off on me already” he shrugs with a smirk
  • “Alright, then Mr. Confident. Tell me one thing you like about me”
  • “I already told you two, I’ll leave the next one for the next day” Tae states
  • “The next day, I like how that sounds” June whispers loud enough for him to hear her
  • She was close enough to smell his perfume again and she only wondered how just his scent had bewitched her in seconds. She liked the way he said ‘the next day’ like he sincerely wanted to see her again. But the smell of alcohol on him made her think otherwise. Maybe it was the drink or dick talking, but either way, she didn’t care. She was having a great time and that was all that mattered. She had planned to come and have fun and make bad decisions, and though this didn’t feel like it, it was still the best bad decision she had made in a long time.
  • “I think this is the part where you tell me your name,” Tae says
  • “June” she whispered
  • One last look at his lips that had formed a smile of satisfaction was all the confirmation to lean in for a kiss. She loved to be in control, she loved taking the lead, but even as she had leaned in to kiss him first, she still surrendered to his movements. She didn’t want to lead or be in control, she just wanted to kiss him.
  • “June!” Fiona yells, yanking her away from where her mouth was glued to
  • “Fuck! I’m so sorry. I’ve been searching everywhere for you. We need to go. Jess is sick” Fiona says in a panic
  • “What?” June turns to her
  • “She drank something and now she won’t stop vomiting”
  • “Where is she?” June asks, getting up
  • “She’s outside, we have to walk a little. So we’ll call a cab later” Fiona explains
  • “Shit,” she says, following Fiona, almost forgetting she had company
  • “Fuck!” she curses, turning back to Tae who just sat there watching her. She was a sight to watch and he was captivated
  • “My friend is sick, so I have to go. I hope you meant it when you said you’d tell me one thing about me the next day” She rushed her sentence
  • “I did” Tae replies smiling
  • “Good. See you then” June tells him, quickly planting a kiss on his lips, before turning to face Fiona, who was checking her phone
  • “Wait!” Tae says, grabbing her wrist
  • “It’ll be cold outside, here,” he says standing up and pulling his jacket
  • He puts the jacket around her body, letting her put in her hands and wear it properly. It was a little big, but it did look good on her, he thought as he looked at her after she wore it
  • “Thank you,” June says, smiling at him
  • “Be safe” he tells her, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead
  • After the kiss on her head and a reluctant goodbye, the two let go of each other and June heads out with Fiona, heading towards Jess.
  • ######################################
  • The next day had rolled by quicker than the girls had wanted. Jess was feeling much better now and the three had found themselves in the first class of the day, which was June’s major; Greek mythology. There was something about Greek mythology that June had fallen in love with over the years and two years ago, she had decided to have that as her major.
  • They had taken their schedules and had planned to meet their thesis supervisors during their free period which was after the first class. Jess’s supervisor was Professor Ngozi, the Nigerian lady who had taught them last semester. Aside from being strict, she was one of the nicest female professors. Fiona’s supervisor was Professor David, he was the coolest and youngest Professor they had, while June’s supervisor was a new teacher Professor Wang Chul.
  • “Good thing we’re having Professor Wang’s class now, that way you don’t get to meet him before we do” Jess jokes
  • “I don’t see how that’s a good thing Jess” June laughs shaking her head
  • “Hot or not, June has her eyes only on the mysterious guy from last night, right June?” Fiona asked in a tease
  • “That guy! How on earth would you find him June?” Jess asked
  • “I don’t know. I feel so stupid for not getting his number” June tells them
  • “He’s here,” Fiona says, referring to their lecturer who had just walked in
  • June quickly sips some water from her bottle and raises her head, only to find the content in her mouth flying out as she sees the person who stands in front of the class.
