• Demetri being sweet, caring, and gentle to her is good but saying "I love you" is too much, and her heartbeat races every time Demetri says those words. She was afraid of falling in love with him again. Because she was well aware that this would not last. So she did everything she could to keep herself from falling in love with him.
• When he let go of her embrace, he stared at her again. "Aren't you gonna say anything?" He asked. His eyes were hopeful and she didn't know why. Is he hoping that she would say "I love you" to him too?
