• When he appeared to have finished laughing, he turned to face her again, his expression returning to seriousness. "You're heavy," Demetri said casually, then leaned against the window as she forced herself to stand and walk to the bed.
• She could hear his chuckle, and when he looked at him, he returned to his serious demeanor. She forced herself to sit on the bed again when she arrived, even though her ass and hips hurt. She bit her lip when she felt pain when he finally sat down.
• "Stop overreacting. You just fell." She heard Demetri say.
