Chapter 55 Playing Safe

• Matteo stretched his hand and felt the bed. When he noticed I wasn't on the bed, immediately sat up. He rubbed his left eye and scanned the room, his eyes searched for me.
• Matteo got out of the bed and got into his bedroom slippers and left for the bathroom. He checked the bathroom and found it empty. He shut the door and checked the closet which had no one in it.
• Matteo paused for a while with his hands on his waist, as he tried to figure out where I was. He decided to check other parts of the house for me.
