Chapter 29 Little Payback

I arrived home, filled with so much anger towards Matteo. Everyone was quite surprised to see me back home so early and without Matteo. I ignored their questions and went straight to my room. I walked in and slammed the door behind me, screaming. I vented out my anger by continuously screaming Matteo's name. I immediately took a deep breath and tried to calm my nerves.
I left for the bathroom and washed off my makeup. I undressed and went into the shower cubicle and had my bath. I finished up and got into my pajamas and grabbed my phone. I sat on the bed and called up Armando. I ordered him to look into Matteo's friend and his business. Matteo and his friend humiliated me at the party and I wasn't going to let it slide. I hung up and dropped my phone on the bed. I immediately locked the door before lying on the bed.
Matteo returned home pretty late and tipsy. He got to our room and tried opening the door. He realized that the door was locked from inside. He kept banging on the door while I chose to ignore him. He eventually got tired of knocking. He cursed at me and left. I had a peaceful night and a lovely sleep as it has been long I slept on the bed .
