• Aliyah and the rest stared at Catherine in shock as everything began to make sense, however, it was too late now. No one knows where Naomi is and it was why Asher was like this in the first place. They must admit, Catherine played her card well, and they had all helped her by suggesting to Asher to give up on Naomi. Had they known, they would have told him to reject his fated instantly and claim only Naomi. But how could they? Besides, who would willingly reject their fated mates for a chosen mate?
• It was as if the situation of things downed on Aliyah as her legs grew weak and she slumped on the forest floor. Aliyah wondered if there was any need to keep fighting. Wouldn’t it be better if they all surrendered and just let it go? Not her or even Edward could save the day this time. It is really the end of the world this time. There was no escaping it. Her eyes welled up in tears as she watched as the ghouls were killing them off. The fight has been going on for a long time. The warriors were all tired but there was no proof of their effort. They had not succeeded in killing even a single ghoul and even though they appeared to be more in number than the ghouls, they were now almost outnumbered, and soon, they wouldn’t even be any of them to fight the ghouls anymore.
