• “Asher,” Naomi smiled seeing the boy climbing into her room from the window. He looked up at her but his eyes weren’t all smile as usual. “What happened?” she asked, going to him, “why didn’t you show up in school for the past two weeks. Is everything okay?” she wondered, now standing in front of him and she reached up to cup his cheek in her palm. However, he did something unimaginable to her, he avoided her touch. “Hey, it’s me.”
