Chapter 48 New Threat

• After Oto departs from the throne room, followed by Gil, the young Luna of the Nanutet pack turns to Enril. She is consumed by desperation as she sees her goal of belonging to the pack slip further away, along with the aspiration of acquiring the formidable powers held by Alpha Aren. She also covets the key that unlocks the gateway to the heavenly city, a desire shared by her father.
• Observing Beta Enril, Luna notices his smile as Leia winks at him and urges him to hasten, indicating that she is eagerly anticipating their date and more. Luna muses, "If the Alpha is unattainable, I'll settle for the Beta." With this in mind, she resolves to communicate with the witch through their mental link. "Ensure that the Beta becomes my companion," she commands the witch.
• "I cannot comply, Miss Luna. The spiritual energy I sensed has vanished along with the other force you are familiar with," the witch responds.
