Chapter 11 Attacking the Blind Guy
- The thugs behind him laughed hard.
- Bang!
- Sullivan suddenly raised his hand, sending both the blind stick and Edgar flying. Edgar was thrown to the ground with a powerful force.
- Edgar grimaced in pain. How could this blind guy be so strong?
- "D*mmit!"
- Edgar got up. His eyes blazing with anger, as if he'd been deeply insulted.
- "Blind kid, did I give you too much respect? You think I won't kill you?"
- Edgar glared angrily at Sullivan.
- "Deal with me if you have a problem! Don't pick on Sulli!" Lavinia said, standing in front of Sullivan.
- "See? See? Now you're protecting him and still saying there's nothing between you two?
- "Lavinia, how's it going with this blind kid?"
- Edgar had nothing smart to say, which made Lavinia's face turn red with anger and embarrassment. Still, she stayed in front of Sullivan.
- "Lavinia, move aside. I'm going to show these guys how to speak properly today!"
- Sullivan stepped out and walked toward Edgar with his blind stick in hand. Wearing sunglasses, he looked like a blind man who couldn't defend himself.
- "D*mmit! You really think that b*tch Lavinia can protect you?
- "Think you're better than us? Today, I'll show you who's boss!
- "Get him, guys! After we're done with this blind guy, I'll take you all out for a shower!"
- As Edgar finished, a group of thugs moved in. Sullivan didn't even flinch or try to dodge.
- "Hahaha. This blind guy actually thinks he can stand up for himself!"
- One thug sneered, raising his fist to hit Sullivan's face.
- "So what if I'm blind? I can still take you all on!"
- As Sullivan spoke, he lifted his blind stick and brought it down hard on one thug's head, sending him crashing to the ground.
- He swung the stick again, hitting another thug on the shoulder, making him shout, "Ouch!"
- "Y-you!"
- Edgar stood there, stunned and watching Sullivan with suspicion. Wasn't he blind? How did he know where they were?
- "What's wrong? You can't even handle a blind guy? You're really pathetic!"
- Sullivan suddenly turned around and swung his stick again, knocking down the thug who tried to sneak up on him.
- It was like his stick was a sledgehammer—no one had a chance to fight back.
- "I don't believe this. Everyone, get him! If I don't break this blind guy's legs today, then all these years I've spent building my reputation are for nothing!"
- Edgar, frustrated, grabbed Sullivan's blind stick and tried to kick him in a vulnerable spot.
- Bang!
- Edgar got hit by a surprise kick and flew backwards like a kite with a broken string, crashing hard onto a stone table in the yard.
- The table shattered into pieces, and Edgar lay there, moaning in pain as if his bones were broken.
- The others were shocked and stayed back, too scared to move closer to Sullivan.
- "What's wrong? Scared now? Weren't you the ones saying you'd break my legs?"
- Sullivan sneered. With moves like that, he couldn't understand where they got the courage to talk big.
- "D*mmit, why are you just standing there? Get him!" Edgar yelled from the ground, still unable to move.
- "Break his legs, and once the house is demolished, I'll give each of you 7,500 bucks!"
- Hearing there was money involved, everyone's eyes lit up, and they gathered their courage to rush at Sullivan again.
- The blind stick whooshed through the air as Sullivan stood his ground, not moving an inch.
- Lavinia was stunned. When did Sulli become so powerful?
- "Stop it! Edgar, you just want the house, right? I'll give it to you, but don't hurt Sulli!"
- Seeing the fierce looks in their eyes, Lavinia was still worried sick about Sullivan.
- "Lavinia, as long as I'm here, no one can bully you or take what's yours!"
- Sullivan knew how much Lavinia cared about him, so he wasn't going to let them win.
- "It's too late for that now!"
- Edgar sneered.
- "Get him!"
- Lavinia covered her mouth, tears filling her eyes. She felt it was her fault and she had put Sulli in danger.
- In her moment of despair, she looked at Sullivan surrounded by people and couldn't believe what she was seeing.
- Bang, bang, bang!
- Several thugs were knocked flying and crashed to the ground. Lavinia couldn't even tell what was happening!
- Sullivan walked steadily towards Edgar.
- "Don't! Don't come any closer!"
- It was hard to believe that a blind man could take down so many people.
- Could Sullivan really be blind, or was he just pretending?
