Chapter 2

• Jun followed the hospital's main doctor around. It'd been a few weeks since he'd graduated and he'd been sent to work at the central hospital. However, being a newbie, he was not given any difficult tasks and had to follow the main doctor around like an assistant to observe a little more and be put to test when the time would come.
• He was getting bored of not being able to do anything serious yet but was still happy to finally carry the title of a doctor. Jun hoped to have a hospital of his own soon.

• "Seokjun?" the main doctor, doctor Kyunsoo, called and Jun came rushing to his side and that of the nurse that seemed to be telling the doctor something.
• "Yes?"
• "Got something for you. There's a young man with a twisted ankle in the consultation room. Take care of him." he stated.
• "Okay."
• "Follow me doctor." the nurse said and Seokjun followed her.
• They made their way to the large consultation room where several patients were being examined by the nurses and some doctors.
• "There he is." the nurse pointed to a boy seated on one of the beds, waiting patiently.
• "Okay." Jun grabbed his notepad and walked up to the young man.
• "Well, hello." Jun greeted with a dazzling smile. The young man looked up and found the doctor's smile so warm, he smiled back.
• "Hello."
• "I'm doctor Kim Seokjun. You can call me, Jun. Your name?"
• "Kim Jeonkuk." the boy replied and watched the doctor note it down.
• "Alright, Jeonkuk. Lemme see your ankle."
• Seokjun put his pad aside and bent, grabbing Jeonkuk's ankle. He'd taken his shoes off and had folded his jeans so his ankle would be visible.
• Jun noticed it was a little swollen and red.
• "Hm, tell me if it hurts when I do this." he moved the ankle in different directions and Jeonkuk would yelp and tell him when it hurt.
• "What happened?"
• "A wrong sprint. I run track." Jeonkuk explained.
• "I see. Well, it doesn't look like your muscle has been affected but we'll have a scan just in case. I'll prescribe some painkillers to you, as well as antibiotics for the swelling. A pomade will do too."
• "Oh, okay."
• "Do you have money on you? For the scan and-"
• "Jeonkuk." a deep and quite soothing voice called and both the doctor and the boy turned to see a tall and very handsome man enter. He was followed by a shorter male with porcelain skin and smoky eyes. They both looked expensive.
• Seokjun immediately recognized the taller as the one and only Kim Namgyu, CEO of Kim Enterprise. A powerful and influential man.
• He walked to Jeonkuk, completely ignorant of the doctor.
• "What's wrong? What happened to your ankle? Chimin called me and told me you twisted it?" he asked, worried.
• "Nothing serious, Hyung. With the prescribed medicine, I'll be fine. It's just a swell."
• Seokjun during this time had noticed that the shorter male standing in a corner had a gun fastened to his belt and he frowned.
• "How did it-" Namgyu started talking again but was interrupted by,
• "Sir, no guns allowed in this hospital," Jun stated with furrowed brows.
• This caught both Namgyu's and the other's attention.
• "Really?" the shorter mused.
• "Yes. I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Seokjun added.
• "Or what? I've been to this hospital more than once and never have they asked that I get rid of my gun."
• Of course, Kim Namgyu donated a lot to this hospital, and he and his men were given special treatment. But Jun didn't know that.
• "You must be new here." the shorted smiled, "Aren't you aware of-"
• "Chimin." Namgyu's voice cut in and the shorter was silent.
• Jun turned to look at Namgyu who turned to him as well. There was a short moment of silence. Namgyu stared at the unfamiliar and very beautiful face. He'd never seen this doctor before nor had he seen a man this handsome. Who was he? And most importantly, why was he attending to Jeonkuk when he accepted only one doctor to take care of his men and family members, and that was the main doctor?
• "Who are you? Why the hell are you in charge of my younger brother when I don't know who you are? Where's Doctor Kyunsoo?" he demanded rudely. Seokjun was taken aback at his rudeness.
• "I am doctor Kim Seokjun and I'm new here. Doctor Kyunsoo assigned me to this patient to consult him." Seokjun explained.
• "Hyung, it's okay." Jeonkuk pulled on the sleeve of his brother's expensive suit, "He is okay."
• "No." Namgyu frowned at Jun who flinched under his gaze. "I do not know him and that's a problem. I don't like it when you're put in the hands of strangers. You know what being my family member entails."
• A confused Jun was speechless.
• At that moment, another young man walked in. He made their way towards them, a boxy smile on his lips. He had fluffy brown hair and thick brows.
• "Hyung!" he called happily and rushed to hug Jun.
• The Kims and the bodyguard stared at the young man hugging the doctor happily, ignoring them.
• "How are you? I'm done with my classes for the day and I realized I forgot my keys. Oops." the younger chuckled.
• "Taeho." Jun cleared his throat and motioned for his younger brother to greet the people behind him.
• The young man turned and finally noticed a frowning Namgyu. He recognized the man.
• "K- Kim Namgyu?? Sir??" Taeho bowed out of respect, "Good afternoon, sir."
• Namgyu did not reply as he received a phone call and immediately stepped aside to answer.
• "Yes, Yoonjin?" he walked to a corner.
• "Hello." the younger proceeded to wave at Chimin who nodded with a smirk.
• "Mr. Kim's younger brother." Jun pointed at Jeonkuk.
• Taeho stared at the other, causing him to blush a little.
• "Hi." Taeho gave him a nod and a little smirk.
• Jeonkuk felt his cheeks heat up for no reason at all.
• "Uh, hi," he replied.
• Taeho was back to talking to his brother and Jun gave him the keys.
• "I'll be home soon."
• "Oki. See ya." Taeho waved and marched out.
• "Y- your brother?" Jeonkuk's voice caused Jun to turn to him.
• "Yes." the doctor smiled a little.
• "I'm sorry about my brother. He's just really protective of me." Jeonkuk apologized.
• "It's okay. I'm very protective of Taeho."
• Namgyu returned at that moment and was going to say something when doctor Kyunsoo came rushing in.
• "Mr. Kim." he bowed, "I'm so sorry. I wasn't aware that the patient waiting to be consulted was your brother and so I sent another doctor," he explained.
• He walked to Jun.
• "I'll take over from here, Jun."
• "Here." irritated, Jun gave him the notepad and walked past him.
• He stopped in front of Namgyu and bowed.
• "Mr. Kim," Jun said dryly and walked out of the office.
• Namgyu stared after him before bringing his attention back to his younger brother.
• Jun walked down the halls, old ruined by Kim Namgyu's rudeness.
• "Jun?? Jun??"
• He turned to see his colleague and also another newbie, rush up to him.
• "Yes, Hansol?"
• "Um, hey. I was wondering if you'd like to grab a drink with me tonight. You know, since you could yesterday and last week too." the other said with a nervous chuckle.
• Seokjun inhaled. He did need a drink after all and maybe it was a good idea to give Hansol a chance. The guy had been following Jun nonstop.
• "Alright."
• "Really?? Great! I'll pick you up at 7. I know this chic drinking club."
• "Okay. Call me then." Jun replied and walked away.
