Chapter 82 Invisible String
- I wasn’t going to pretend that what Adler said managed to ease the storm in my chest, because it didn’t. I was still alarmed, and my thoughts were still on a rampage. But I could act. At least, for this day.
- We still had the rest of the day to celebrate with the pack, and I shouldn’t spoil it. Especially when both mine and Adler’s inauguration were just around the corner. What I should be focusing now was on how I could make sure I would be continuously liked and accepted by this pack, and how I should maintain mine and Adler’s relationship good in public. My unfinished business with Conrad and Theodore could come later, after I get the throne.

He was just probably putting up a front. He probably had the same objective as mine, and he was really good at it that if I didn’t know, I wouldn’t have noticed.
