Chapter 72 Retreat
- Blood continued to gush out from Avalynn’s both severe arms. Outnumbered by the aggressive horde of Lycans, she was not able to do anything but let them devour her as her heart started to beat in a plodding pace. Both Avalynn and Alice could feel it— the thin thread that was connecting the both of them. It was getting weak each passing second, like an indication that they were both nearing their end. But though weak, and dying, both cannot help but hang in to a small hope upon smelling a group of wolves coming their way.
- Avalynn was sure it was her brother and Jade’s smell, along with the others that were familiar. It was a back-up. If they could only bear it for probably more than a minute, perhaps… they might be saved.
- “Look how lowly you’ve fallen, Alice…” Said Theodore with a victorous tone. “You may have had two lives, but somehow you weren’t strong enough to survive on me twice.”
