Chapter 80 But This Isn't Real Marriage

  • We were advised to rest as early as possible that night. After dinner, Jade and Gunner escorted me to my room and informed me that they would be available to assist me the following day. I simply nodded and allowed them to continue, as our residence was a considerable distance away from the mansion.
  • But though I entered the room, I did not actually take a rest. Instead, I practiced my vows for tomorrow's ceremony. Because even though we had practiced for this last week, a lot had happened that I actually forgot my lines. Fortunately, it wasn't as long as my inauguration speech.
  • I let out a yawn as I slouched in bed. I still had the paper in my hand, but it had already been two hours and I was starting to feel drowsy. I have nearly committed the lines to memory. Almost. There were parts that I found difficult to remember.
