Chapter 41

• The excruciating pain overwhelmed Roxy as she witnessed Andrew with Selena, his hand resting on her thigh while he lay down and only her head was visible above him. Selena wickedly smiled at Roxy, clad in her undergarments, as she leaned over Andrew, planting kisses on his face in front of Roxy.
• Her shattered heart plummeted to the floor, pain coursing through every fiber of her being, causing her to gasp in disbelief. Dropping everything, Roxy rushed out of the office, tears streaming down her face. The heartache was unbearable as she realized that she had yearned for more for the first time, but Andrew had only desired her physically.
• He had used her and then returned to Selena. How could she have been so naive? Racing to her office, Roxy grabbed her belongings and keys, fleeing to the elevator and dashing to her car. She drove aimlessly, with no destination in mind, eventually finding herself on 1I-95 headed north. Continuing to drive until her gas tank was nearly empty, she pulled into the next gas station and asked the attendant for the nearest motel.
