Chapter 54 Together We Stand

• “Let’s go to the kitchen and see what we can find for us to eat.” Mom says as she takes my hand gently and pulls me along with her. We walk into their huge open concept kitchen together and she goes straight to their refrigerator. Which is a custom made 4 column luxury stainless steel and glass piece of pure beauty and elegance rolled up into one.. There is an individual large built-in column for the fridge, freezer, beverages and last but not least a wine column. Each Column is about 3 to 4 feet wide. Who knew they could make refrigerators with 4 columns instead of 2.
• When she opens the fridge, it is fully stocked. My eyes about bulge out of my head, because I see all my favorite snackies in there. Jello cups, strawberry, peach and boysenberry yogurt, cottage cheese. It makes me wonder if they stocked up all these tasty treats because of me. I have never ever seen Charles or Emma eat a Jello cup or cottage cheese for that matter. I will ask them about it later.
• I go to pull out plates to set the table when I hear, “oh, no…you go sit your little butt down. I know what you like, and you don’t need to overexert yourself.” Mom scolds. I was about to respond, when she gives me one of her ‘Don’t you even think about it missy’ looks. So, I just shut my yap and walked away.
