Chapter 27 Meet & Greet

• Jaxon just stares at me with his eyebrow arched and a quirky smile.” Before he could say anything, I continued saying “I know I sound like a broken record, but I don’t want you to think that you are obligated to go with me. These girls can be a bit much on their own, but you are getting them all in one place.”
• Jaxon looks like he is analyzing everything I am saying. “Elena, I understand our situation is unconventional. I have a couple of friends that can be a bit intense as well. If you’re worried that they will scare me away, they won’t. Just have some faith and like you said let’s take this thing day by day. I know I am.” He grabs me by the waist, and I am locked in close to him, my hands on his strong chest feeling every muscle and his lips dangerously close to mine. He kisses me softly and oh so sweetly.
• I feel myself calm down almost instantly. He has this power over me, that I can’t explain. He holds me with his strong arms, feeling safe in his embrace.
