Chapter 6 I'm Generous
- I'm just a fool.
- What kind of evil intentions could a fool possibly have?
- For some reason, Demi's reaction made Eric's hands itch terribly. He had an overwhelming urge to pinch her face, but he restrained himself. His expression remained cold as he spoke.
- "Next time, don't speak nonsense in front of Grandma."
- Demi tilted her head in confusion and protested, "I didn't say anything wrong. That divorce paper thingy was something you gave me!"
- She was doing it on purpose to get under his skin. As expected, his brow furrowed again at her words.
- He was confident that this fool was doing it on purpose.
- Of course, Demi had already guessed what he was thinking. She let out a barely noticeable smile and continued to play dumb.
- "Honey, why are you looking at me like that?"
- Hearing her call him "Honey" in that soft, sweet tone made Eric's body stiffen again. His brow furrowed even tighter, and his voice turned colder.
- "Shut up."
- Demi pouted, "You're so mean! Waaa, I don't like you anymore!"
- Tears filled her beautiful eyes as she whimpered in grievance.
- She looked so pitiful that it tugged at his heartstrings.
- Eric tiredly rubbed his temples. Forget it; what's the point of arguing with a fool?
- He stopped paying attention to Demi and headed briskly toward the stairs leading to the second floor. Demi followed him up, trailing close behind.
- She was truly exhausted today. Playing the fool was more exhausting than she'd thought, and she needed to get some proper rest.
- As soon as Eric pushed open the door to the master bedroom, Demi darted inside in a flash.
- Eric scowled and stared at her with irritation. He commanded, "Get out."
- Demi blinked, her expression blank and innocent.
- "Why should I go out? This is my room!"
- Tsk.
- This little fool really knew how to shamelessly take over my space.
- Eric raised an eyebrow, loosening his tie and casually tossing it aside.
- It was an ordinary gesture, but somehow, when he did it, it carried an effortless sensuality that was hard to ignore.
- He declared, "This is my room. Get out."
- "But I have always slept in this room!"
- Demi's eyes gleamed, and the corners of her lips curved slightly, though she hid it well.
- She vowed to sleep in this room tonight.
- Only a fool would give up the luxurious master bedroom for the guest room!
- Eric's patience was wearing thin. His mesmerizing almond-shaped eyes narrowed in displeasure, with a clear warning in his voice. "If you don't leave now, I'll throw you out."
- Demi pouted as if upset but didn't say another word. She quickly kicked off her shoes and scrambled onto the bed, clutching the blanket tightly in her arms.
- Eric's gaze darkened upon witnessing her shameless behavior. He leaned down, approaching her with a dangerous closeness.
- His tone was low and threatening, asking, "Little fool, are you rebelling?"
- Puffed up with anger, she retorted, "I'm not a fool!!!"
- Her cheeks puffed out as she sulked, making her already round face look even more adorable.
- Finally, he couldn't resist anymore. Eric reached out and pinched her small, chubby face. Once his hand landed there, he didn't want to let go.
- It wasn't until she cried out in pain that Eric snapped out of it.
- "Ouch! Waaa, you're hurting me!"
- Eric smiled slightly as he watched her whine pitifully. What a delicate little thing!
- Though that's what he thought, he still forced himself to let go.
- Noticing her face was slightly red from his pinch, he raised an eyebrow. It seems like he needed to be gentler next time.
- Demi sniffled. Her nose was twitching slightly as if she were about to cry. Her big, beautiful eyes glared at him, silently accusing him of hurting her.
- Her gaze had no real power behind it. Instead of making him feel threatened, it only fueled his desire to bully her further.
- On the outside, Demi appeared harmless. Inwardly, she was cursing him ferociously.
- Damn it, if the timing is right, I would have smashed his head in and scattered his ashes in the sea by now!
- Eric pushed down the strange thoughts swirling in his mind, his gaze deepening. He moved slightly and prepared to get up.
- Demi had misunderstood. She thought he was about to yank her off the bed. She narrowed her eyes, and an idea flashed across her mind.
- She grinned. Her smile was silly but cute as she patted the bed beside her. Her voice was sweet and playful.
- "I'm generous. I'll share the bed with you. You can have half!"
- Before Eric could even react, she reached up, hooked her arms around his neck, and pulled him down onto the bed with her.
