Chapter 12 System Breach

• "A fool will always be a fool!"
• Before Karen could finish her harsh words, Helen had overheard the commotion. She pushed the door open and entered the room.
• Since Helen had arrived, Karen swallowed back the rest of the curse that was about to spill out.
• "What happened here? Mrs. Snow, are you alright?"
• Helen's concerned expression made Demi shake her head and respond sweetly.
• "I'm fine. Karen just accidentally fell."
• Karen's anger only intensified when she realized that Helen's first instinct was to check on Demi instead of her.
• She was the one lying on the ground in pain. Karen couldn't believe the blind housekeeper would prioritize that idiot over herself.
• The sharp pain in her waist made Karen drop her pretense of kindness. She gritted her teeth and shouted, "Take me to the hospital now!"
• It was only then that Helen noticed Karen. She immediately instructed the other servants to take her to the hospital.
• Meanwhile, Demi slipped into Eric's study unnoticed.
• Once inside, she quickly turned on his computer and began searching for information about herself. However, every search came back empty.
• She let out a cold smirk, and her entire demeanor radiated a terrifying chill.
• All of her information had been erased. That scumbag couple had gone to incredible lengths.
• Still, Demi wasn't in a rush to deal with them. She had something more important to do: avenge the original Demi.
• She was going to claim everything that belonged to her.
• Maybe—just maybe—once she fulfilled Demi's wish, she could return to her own body.
• Exiting the browser, Demi swiftly entered a series of codes and hacked into Hart Group's system.
• Their defense system was laughable to her. Just as she was about to access their confidential files, Helen's voice echoed from outside.
• "Mrs. Snow! Mrs. Snow! Where are you?"
• Her sound grew closer. Demi's eyes flashed with urgency. She quickly exited the system, erasing all traces of her presence.
• Helen entered the room at this time.
• Helen breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing Demi inside, but then asked with a puzzled expression, "There you are, Mrs. Snow. What are you doing in the study?"
• Demi played dumb and clapped her hands excitedly. She praised, "Helen, you're amazing at finding me! Now it's my turn to find you! Quick! Go hide, Helen! I'll come looking for you!"
• Helen smiled helplessly at her answer. She asked, "Mrs. Snow, were we playing hide-and-seek? But you know, Mrs. Snow, the study isn't a place you should be. Let's head out with me, okay?"
• Demi tilted her head and pretended to be confused. She asked, "Why can't I be here?"
• "Because Mr. Eric doesn't like anyone entering the study. If he finds out you were here, he'll be upset."
• Demi blinked innocently and nodded in agreement.
• "I don't want Honey to be mad. I won't come here again!"
• Helen's smile deepened at her obedience. She complimented, "Mrs. Snow is such a good girl."

• At Hart Group headquarters.
• A hacker had breached the company's system, nearly stealing its confidential files. Conrad was horrified and on the verge of a heart attack.
• "How could you let this happen? Someone hacked into our system so easily! Do you have any idea what would happen if those files were stolen? Can you take responsibility for this?"
• The managers being scolded looked pale. "Mr. Hart, the person who hacked into our system today—judging by their methods—must be a top-tier hacker. Their skills are beyond anything we could handle."
• "Useless! You're all trash!"
• Conrad was exasperated. His face darkened with rage.
• If word of this got out, he would become a laughingstock in Phora.
• The breach of his company's system and the near theft of their confidential files threatened more than just his reputation. Who would want to do business with him after this?
• "I don't care what you have to do. Find out who hacked our system and tighten security. I don't want them breaching our system again!"
• Given Conrad's fury, the managers hastily nodded and obeyed. "Yes, Mr. Hart."
• As Conrad stormed out, his phone rang. It was Karen.
• The moment he answered, Karen's tearful, pitiful voice came through.
• "Conrad, you have no idea how arrogant Demi has become. Yesterday, she injured Alanna, and today, when I went to check on her, she hurt my back! Now Alanna and I are both stuck in the hospital because of her."
