• "I need to make a call... Let me have my phone, please." Delaney, in her drunk state, said to Kaiden, who prevented her from taking her phone.
• Delaney, who was usually so composed and assured, was a different person tonight. The alcohol, which she had taken to calm her nerves, had taken a greater hold on her than she'd expected.
