• But something told Laurel she wasn’t here against her will and she tried to shut that voice down. She could shut it down if she wanted to. She just wouldn’t admit it seeing how Boss Lucas went extra lengths to bring her home.
• Home?! What am I thinking? I’ve only been here for three days and it wasn’t even complete! Laurel screamed internally.
• “Lucas!” Rosemary suddenly bellowed, making Laurel jump a little. She turned towards the room ready to clean up and sleep when she heard Lucas’ door creaking open. It didn’t creak open because it was getting old or anything. It creaked open slowly, just to taunt her. She turned her head to look at a curious Lucas in a high white polo and briefs which showed off his long hairy legs. He looked powerful even in a casual wear. Laurel frowned in annoyance.
