Chapter 21

• In the middle of a dark lit room was a pacing and very irritated Lucas. With every turn, he glanced at his wrist watch. It appeared to Cecil that he was waiting for something. He had to keep a safe distance from his Boss, not wanting infuriate him any further.
• Lucas paused. “Where are they?”
• A while ago, Lucas wondered why he was feeling very upset. He thought it was because he allowed himself to be deceived by her. But it wasn’t so. He didn’t exactly allow himself to be deceived by her. She played him and Lucas knew he wouldn’t accept defeat. He had followed her to her house knowing she didn’t have a cat but he wasn’t prepared for the chocolate saga. If it wasn’t for Luis, Laurel would have gone far.
