Chapter 53
- Ray fastened his lips on hers, battling with his control. He wanted to take this slow, really really slow. She deserved to be loved and cherished and God knew he wanted to be that man, but with the way he felt, slow was out of the equation. Hard and fast. That was all he could think about. He had to have her, possess her completely, to get rid of the anger he still he felt. It was either this or go in search of Copeland. The latter wouldn't end well. So Alexis would have to do. He only hoped that by the end of this, she would still want him.
- Grabbing a handful of her hair, he pulled her head back none too gently, exposing her long neck to him. He kissed, licked, nipped and nibbled on it and when she sagged against him moaning, he wound a hand around her waist to keep her up. He could feel her nipples digging in her chest through the bikini. He remembered what it was like to have those dusty brown pebbles in his mouth, sucking on them until they turned rock hard. He wanted to feel that again, savor it but it would have to wait until later. At that moment he had a one track mind. To bury himself, no, impale himself in her over and over again to make sure she knew who she belonged to. Thinking about her with Copeland had really messed up his mind.
- In a way, it was his fault too. Playing this game of cat and mouse with her like teenagers. They were both adults and it was time they started acting like it. He could understand that she was hesitant about him, but he had no doubts about his feelings for her. He'd loved her for as long as he could remember. He knew she was the one for him. It was either her or no one. So why was he allowing other men the chance to hit on her? The gifts she had received had been written Marjorie all over them. He hadn't bought her lie about having other suitors but that didn't mean one of those flowers hadn't come from someone who thought they had a chance with her. Someone like Copeland. God, Just the thought of him made him mad all over again.
