The doctor assured her that they would do everything they could to help Bridget get better and that they would work closely with her to ensure her recovery. William's mother felt a glimmer of hope, and she left the doctor's office feeling determined to help Bridget in any way she could.
Then he went off to William. Just to see him with another woman. William's mother was shocked to see him walking down the street, hand in hand with another woman. She watched from a distance, trying to make sense of what she was seeing.
She couldn't believe that her son could be so cruel as to carry on with another woman, while his wife was struggling with postpartum depression. Her heart ached for Bridget, and she felt a deep sense of betrayal from her son. She thought about confronting him, but she decided against it. She knew that it wouldn't do any good.
