Chapter 48 Too Close
- Katarina
- Cyprian stands there, just a few feet away, staring at us. My heart sinks into my stomach as I see the shock and disappointment on his face. I can’t believe we’ve been caught, and to make it worse, it had to be Cyprian. Well, better him than Zane.
- Francis steps back immediately. He looks at me, puzzled, probably wondering who Cyprian is. He quickly pulls out a gun from inside his jacket, about to shoot Cyprian. I gasp in shock. My gaze turns to Cyprian—his eyes gleam yellow, and his fingers turn to claws, his face looking more like a wolf than a human. He growls, his wolf teeth looking like they’re about to tear Francis apart. I turn back to Francis, and he cocks the gun. I can see the fear in his eyes as he stares at Cyprian, who’s wolfing out. Christ! This isn’t supposed to happen. My fiancé and the only male friend I have in Wolf Zone are about to kill each other. I have to stop this.
