• The mate bond pulls at me. I fight it. I should let Magdalena kill her—that’s what she deserves. I save her life from my wolves, and still she does this. The wolves are my responsibility; I have to keep them safe, and if she’s hell-bent on attacking us, then she’ll have to die. Mate or not. But the mate bond overwhelms me.
