Chapter 26 The stakes

It's been over a month since Karen officially launched her fashion magazine and so far, things had been going on smoothly for her until a few days ago when Jack pulled out his investment from her fashion firm and finally ghosted her.
During her official launching program, he had invested one million dollars into her company which she had hoped to use in the expansion before his unexpected pullout. The fashion magazine was to be released monthly and sold at $2.50 each. The company's stocks had fallen by more than seventy percent in less than twenty four hours and it was currently still falling.
She had woken up to see the published articles on her phone and had fallen into an initial shock before recovering. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she looked numb, reading through the news on different blogs and channels. Jack was yet to say anything, and his silence was hurting her even more.
