Chapter 7 Making a Fuss
- These few people were not here to have meals. Instead, they were here to cause trouble.
- Tang Yin kept his guard up. Standing far away from the scene to observe the situation, he suddenly heard Lin Chuchu’s voice.
- “Tang Yin, what are you looking at?”
- As soon as Tang Yin turned his head around, he saw Lin Chuchu’s stoic face. She said disdainfully, “Who do you think you are to peep at the customers? Quickly get back to the kitchen to work. I always wondered why my father would hire such a foolish person like you!”
- “Tang Yin, come in! I need your help!” Lin Cheng yelled from the kitchen, as if he was trying to save him from further embarrassment.
- Tang Yin put down the table rag in his hand and went into the kitchen. Just then, a loud bang could be heard from outside.
- Quickly, he turned his head and saw the three students standing in front of Lin Chuchu. They pointed their fingers at her and asked fiercely, “Look at this! Don’t tell me that you don’t know what this is!”
- Lin Chuchu was stupefied and stood still on the spot in a daze, tears starting to well up in her eyes.
- Tang Yin hurried forward and saw the leader of the gang holding a dead fly in his hand.
- “How do you guys run your eatery?”
- “Why is there a fly in here?”
- “Exactly, how dare you open an eatery here with such poor hygiene?” Chu Hao was furious.
- Completely dumbfounded, Lin Chuchu stood still and gabbled, “I-I-It’s impossible…”
- “Impossible? Then tell me what this is?” Chu Hao grabbed her wrist harshly and said, “You better explain this! Don’t you think of continuing your business if you can’t give us a clear explanation on this matter!”
- “I’m very sorry about this. Our eatery has always been in a good sanitary condition, and things like this shouldn’t happen. Please have a seat first. I’ll immediately investigate the matter…” Lin Cheng was flustered as he ran out from the kitchen.
- “Investigate? We have both witnesses and evidence here. What else do you want to investigate? I think you are just trying to pass the buck…”
- Lin Cheng’s face turned pale.
- “Bro, my stomach hurts…” One of the guys held onto Chu Hao’s arm and covered his stomach instantly.
- “Look at that! My buddy is having a stomachache after eating the food here. How should we settle this now?” Chu Hao burned with anger.
- Looking at his ferocious appearance, Lin Chuchu got scared and stepped backward immediately.
- With a gloomy face, Tang Yin walked forward a few steps and held on Lin Chuchu’s wrist.
- As Lin Chuchu turned her head and took a quick glance, she quickly withdrew her hand and yelled at Tang Yin loudly, “What are you doing? Can’t you see what’s happening? Why are you still standing here? Get out of here now…”
- “Don’t try to divert the attention. My buddy is having a stomachache after eating your food. You should compensate us for that! Pay us at least 50,000 for this matter! It’s fine if you don’t want to pay for the compensation, because we can always give a call to the Department of Health now. In that case, your eatery might have to close down then!” Chu Hao glanced at Lin Chuchu with disdain.
- “What? 50,000?” Shocked, Lin Chuchu froze on the spot.
- The blood drained from Lin Cheng’s face. He didn’t think a hassle like this would happen in his eatery. If the Department of Health interfered in this matter, he’d have no choice but to end his business.
- Wu Min was scared out of her wits and her face turned pale.
- “50,000, not a penny less…”
- “Give us some time to think about it. We would definitely make up for this matter!” Lin Cheng quickly said.
- “Fine. I’ll give you some time to think about it in the afternoon, and we’ll come and get the money in the evening. If you’re not gonna pay up, we’ll just report to the Department of Health then!” As soon as Chu Hao said that, he turned away and left.
- Lin Cheng slumped back on the chair hard, his face incredibly pale.
- 50,000!
- In the past half a year, they could barely earn and save up to 50,000, and that was after being thrifty and frugal with their spending. How could they continue their living if this 50,000 was taken away by someone else just like that?
- “Dad, what should we do?” Lin Chuchu shed her tears at once.
- Wu Min cast away the table cloth in her hand and said, “I can’t stand this anymore! How could you let a fly get into the dish? Are you blind? I demand a divorce! It’s up to you whether or not you want to pay the 50,000. I have had enough living such a difficult life with you…”
- Lin Cheng quickly raised his head up with a beseeching look in his eyes.
- Tang Yin watched the scene from the side with a trace of pity in his eyes. Wu Min was indeed the typical woman who would walk out on her husband should he get into trouble.
- It was just a matter of 50,000, and she was already making a fuss to divorce her husband.
- “Uncle Lin, it’s not our fault. I actually saw that the fly was brought by them and they purposely threw it into the dish! This matter has nothing to do with us. Even if they report to the Department of Health, they can’t do anything to us!” Tang Yin sighed and mediated.
- “What did you say?” Lin Chuchu widened her eyes and stared at Tang Yin unbelievably. “Then why didn’t you keep an eye on them? If you did, things wouldn’t have turned out like that!”
- A trace of disgust flashed across Tang Yin’s eyes. Initially, he had wanted to keep his eyes on them. Such a thing wouldn’t have happened if she hadn’t ordered him to work in the kitchen earlier.
- “It’s better for us to hurry up and find a solution now. Perhaps we can see if we have any connections that can help solve this matter!” Tang Yin said.
- “Yes! Seek for connections!” Lin Chuchu responded too. “I have a classmate whose father is a rich man and he runs a big hotel business. I’ve heard that he is close with the people in the Department of Health. I’ll ask for his help…”
- “That’s right! Quickly make the call…” Wu Min immediately pushed Lin Chuchu to give a call once she heard that the person was rich.
- Lin Chuchu picked up her phone and ran outside to make the phone call.
- Lin Cheng raised up his head and his expression eased for a little. “Tang Yin, do you think finding connections would work?”
- “I think it’ll work! Uncle Lin, wait for me here for a while. I’ll call to see if I can get any help to solve this matter!” Having a good impression of Lin Cheng, Tang Yin didn’t want him to sink or swim on his own at this time.
- “Okay, thank you so much!” Lin Cheng quickly said.
- Tang Yin nodded his head and turned around to leave. Wu Min rolled her eyes at the side and sneered, “He’s obviously overestimating himself. He’s just a poor loser, and he’s thinking of seeking connections to get help?”
- “Stop babbling. Tang Yin is just being kind to help us…” Lin Cheng persuaded.
- “What’s the use of him being kind? Put aside the fact that he doesn’t even have a friend in Wuhan, he can’t even afford to eat. Do you think a person like him can help us?” Wu Min glared at Lin Cheng fiercely before walking out. “He’s obviously trying to go after our daughter! And you! Have you been daydreaming everyday? What else can you do if you can’t even cook properly?”
- Lin Cheng was startled by Wu Min’s perturbation and he kept silent.
- Tang Yin left the eatery and went to the corner of the street. He then took out his mobile phone and gave Miao Bai a call.
- “Young Master, it’s not a big deal. I’ll ask my secretary to find you later. Don’t worry about it!” Miao Bai said on the phone.
- “Alright!” Tang Yin nodded his head and felt relieved.
- As soon as he went back to the eatery, he saw Lin Chuchu coming back in tears. “Dad, my classmate said that this matter is quite complicated but he will help us to think of a way out. However, he has a s-s-small request!”
- “What request?” Lin Cheng stood up at once.
