Chapter 46

• The day had been a long one when Hunter was about to pack it in and head out early. He rushed his work for the day just to be able to do so. He had to figure out a way to get Evaline out of his house, but for now, he was going to do what he thought was best for himself. He had a meeting with a new lawyer out of town and hoped he could get some insight into what his options were. He needed fresh eyes and someone who didn’t know his evil step-monster. As he tucked his laptop into his briefcase a rapping came to his office door.
• “Come in.”
• “Mr. Constnatine... Hunter. Can we talk?” asked a small man with wire-frame glasses and a bald head.
