• I jolted awake, my heart pounding. Where was I? I blinked, taking in the dim room with peeling wallpaper and boarded up windows. Brandon - where was Brandon? Fear gripped my chest as I realized I was alone in this abandoned building.
• Slowly, I sat up, my red evening gown rustling. We had been at the ball, and then... they have gassed us and brought us here for the human trials. I shuddered, trying to stay calm.
• I had to find Brandon so we could get through this together.
