Chapter 66

• Hunter's first thought was that Demon wasn't alone and that whoever he was was now after Claire. He pushed himself off the tree and stood up straight, wobbling a bit.
• Hunter started walking in the direction of the noises. As he did, my vision got a little blurry, and when he looked down at his shoulder, he saw that it was healing, but not fast enough, so he was losing more blood. He picked up his old shirt and wrapped it around his shoulder, hoping that would help.
• Now everything was quiet, and Hunter didn't know which way to go. He stopped and listened to his surroundings to see if I could hear anything. After a short time, Hunter heard voices coming from the east, so he ran in that direction.
