• When Claire saw a side of Hunter that was so evil, even her wolf whimpered and went to the back of her mind. She didn't say anything and tried to avoid his soul-destroying gaze.
• Hunter, however, grabbed her chin hard and made her look at him. Hunter looked right into her eyes. His handsome face was angry at first, but then he showed a little bit of regret.
• Hunter suddenly let go of her chin and let out a deep sigh. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have acted that way.. I shouldn't have made you so nervous. But I'll overlook your brother's disloyalty this time and only this time." He said in a harsh voice, "The next time he or anyone else from your old pack does it, I will not let it go."
