Chapter 40 You're Mine

• Daisy's POV
• The blaring of a car horn made me jump and skidded off the road,
• "Get your death wish somewhere else" the driver cursed, bringing out his head from the side mirror before driving off, today, I had decided to go for a job hunt, I can't keep relying on the pocket money that Celine's dad do give to me whenever he feels like, sometimes, he gives me just once in two months and it's usually little that I can hardly get everything I need, it's Celine that does not ever lack anything, in fact, she has enough money to squander but I don't hold it against him anyways, I know that he still can't stand the sight of me after his beloved wife died because of me, I saw a poster of vacancy outside a hamburger shop and I decided to try my luck, I met the owner of the shop and nervously made my intention known but was told that the position has just been taking up, hence, there's no more vacancy, I sighed as I left the place, who would have thought that getting a job will be so much stress, I decided to go home and rest, I haven't even done my school assignment, tomorrow, I Will continue with my job hunt, hopefully, it will yield fruit.
