• The rest of the ride to the palace was silent and uneventful. I didn’t realize that it was almost damn already until I checked the time. It felt like days had passed since I left the Orange Moon but it was not even twenty-four hours yet.
• Once we arrived, Bernardo carried the still-sleeping princess to a room on his side of the palace. I assumed he wanted her in a place where he could easily check on her. By that point, I was beyond tired and sleepy. I didn’t even wait for Bernardo to say anything to me. I just walked straight to his room and fell on the bed.
