• Alex alighted from the cab and went into the building. She had not been there since Jerry left the country, for 9 years now. The building felt old and she had to think maybe his parents moved out.
• Though the family was a family friend to hers, at some point, Jerry's mom stopped visiting them and she had no reason to visit since her best friend was out of the country.
