Chapter 174

• Luke came out of the bathroom after freshening up. He had in mind to just brush his teeth but after a second thought, he decided it's good if he bathes as well. He had this smile on his face which Christy was trying to return but she could not. She felt sick to her stomach. She had to mourn the paper she lost and now, she had been called to tell by one of their neighbors that Mr. John was dead.
• Luke could tell something was wrong by the way she was trying to manage to smile.
• "Why the long face? Did something happen to you?" He asked her as he unwrapped his towel to wear his briefs. Christy looked away at the act. She didn't know how deep Luke and Mr. John's relationship was but regardless, he deserves to know.
