Chapter 10

• After a while, it dawned on Alex that she had made the greatest mistake of her life. She looked around and saw she was alone with two securities.
• She sighed and began to walk out of the sit out, now that he has freed her, she needs to find her way home and go clear her head. She refused to accept that she is getting married tomorrow, Christmas day. What is she to be called, a Christmas bride or what?
• She had gone halfway when she was stopped by one of the security personnel.
• "Madam you are not meant to leave the premises, order from Mr. Josh"
• He said and Alex looked at him as if he had gone nuts. He does not want her yet he doesn't want her to leave. Is he so confused that he can't see that she is not ready to do this with him?
• "Sir I don't want to disrespect you but I need to go home, it's late already. Don't you think so?"
• The man shook his head and gestured for her to follow him but she adamantly stood where she was, not moving an inch. Let him do his worst but she is leaving here right now.
• The security, seeing that she was stubborn, went over to her and hijacked her, and walked inside with Alex kicking and shouting at the top of her voice. It looks like hell has come to visit her on earth. She was really in trouble, she just haven't realized how deep it is
• Josh was in his room fuming. It's unbelievable how his grandfather could take decisions on his behalf. Did his grandfather not see that he was joking when he said he brought home a wife? He just wanted to frustrate his life, he thought it was funny but as it is now, nothing is funny anymore.
• "Errrrr, I can't believe this, no way I'm getting married to that thing. My life would definitely be over if I do. Why grandpa? I just wish dad and mom were here, they would have done something but what can they probably do? Dad would dance to your tone or just spare me a glance. As long as mom is there with him, nothing matters to him."
• He said pacing around, he went over and stared at his $1m wall mirror and grunted. How can Luke's wedding day turn out to be his wedding day?
• "Grandfather has to be joking"
• He thought angrily. He was in desperate need to punch something.
• "How in the hell did this happen?"
• He wondered out loud and massaged his jaw then whimpered, he had forgotten he got injured by that lady. What's her name again, Alex?
• He heard a knock at his door and hissed.
• "Come in!"
• He roared and waited. Silas, his grandfather's personal guard, walked in with Alex in his arms. He shook his head and rolled his eyes
• "She was trying to leave right, drop her there and leave"
• Josh ordered and faced the mirror back. Silas put Alex down and left. Alex hissed and felt irritated. She can't believe she is the one these people are treating this way.
• "Don't just stand there, go and freshen up, you stink"
• "Hey!"
• Alex muttered but Josh ignored her. She then stood up from the ground and walked up to him
• "All these would not have happened if you had let me go, we both will not be in this mess, don't act like it's my fault, if anyone should be blamed, it should be you. I would not have you treat me like a piece of trash"
• Alex said with her head held high. She wants this guy here to understand that they are in this mess because of him.
• "You still have a mouth to talk huh? The reason I can't discard you is that you will serve me better in bed without spending a dime on you, after all, you are my wife-to-be. So you perform your wifely duties with no complaint or here will be unbearable for you. It's a pity that you sold yourself to me and grandfather bought it, so, therefore, my darling I would treat you anyhow I want to. You might think of escaping but we will always find you, Mrs. Josh Bleak, so respect yourself and have the wedding you so desired"
• He sighed and took two steps away from Alex,
• "When I'm tired of you, you will be free but for now, go freshen up, it's your wedding Eve night and we both have got some spooky things to do"
• Having said all that while Alex stares at the arrogant man in front of her. He turned and pushed her into the bathroom and shut the door.
• "Don't use any of my things but still clean yourself up because I would not tolerate any dirtiness from you, Mrs. Josh Bleak"
• Alex opened and closed her mouth, she was beyond words at what she saw. The bathroom was like something she watches in the movie. How can someone be blessed with so much wealth while some barely have enough to eat? The world is really not balanced.
• The bathroom was not just a bathroom, it was more like a mini room with so much you could get at the same time. There was a mini bar at the left side of the bathroom and Alex chuckled.
• This is insanity, how can you have a bar in the bathroom? Does the owner want to get drunk before taking a bath? She has always said that guy is a madm*n. Rich people behave abnormally but not all because she has interacted with some and one of them is Luke.
• "I don't think he is normal too because a normal person would not break up with his girlfriend to marry his fiancee."
• She said and sighed. How was she going to do this or cope with all of these?
• She does not have an issue with getting married but with getting married to a total stranger. Not that they had an agreement, the whole thing just played out like this. He set a trap for her and she foolishly fell into it.
• Alex thought about how she was going to explain to her brother that she is getting married out of her will. She is paying for her foolishness. She should have just walked away from him the first time.
• Alex can't blame herself because it was not her fault, if Luke had been enough all these would not have happened and how is she going to cope with this marriage if it eventually worked out when she knows her ex is right here? He would not be her ex but her brother-in-law. It was going to be torture and Alex is not sure if she would pay that kind of prize for the rest of her life.
• She knows too well that if she marries this man, her life would be over and she is not ready to let go of her life. She can't marry him because he hurts her, he thinks of her as a gold digger. The way he refers to her shows he has no respect for her and she would be a damned sex slave to Mr. Madm*n.
• She sighed and began to remove her clothes, she knew she would find a way out of all these.
• This does not make sense, today she is single, and tomorrow she is married, naw, it's not happening. She refused to accept it.
• One thing she knows is this, she would never give in. They would have to chain her if they have to, she is never giving in. She loves senior Bleak and was looking forward to having more time with him but she can't marry his grandson.
• She made a mistake and it's left for her to correct it but it has to wait, she needs to clean herself up first because she stinks. Her face was sticky and her heart was dead. Her Christmas Eve has been ruined, if it's a dream she would wake up.
• She made her way into the glassy bathtub. It was richly built with transparent glass so that the person at the other end could see the person having a shower.
• She turned on the shower and let the cold water run through her skin. She calmed down a bit and took a deep breath.
• "Mister arrogant said don't use my things but I don't care, he can't expect me to have a bath without a soap and sponge, he must be a joke to think that."
• She muttered under her breath and picked up his sponge and applied soap on it and began to scrub her body. The scent of lemonade filled the air and she inhaled it.
• "This is more like it, this is called freshness."
• She said and smiled to herself.
